Our Vision
"Rosemont Baptist Church exists to know Christ through absolute devotion to God's Word, to love Christ through intentional edification of God's people, and to display Christ through Biblical compassion for God's world."
To Know Christ - God is known in and through Jesus Christ, who is the image of the invisible God (Col 1.15), in Whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (Col 2.9), and Who is the brightness of God's glory (Heb 1.3). Jesus Christ is made known to us through the written Word. So we at Rosemont Baptist are absolutely devoted to the Word of God as our sole rule for faith and practice. We preach it, teach it, read it, study it, memorize it, and pray to understand it so we can know our Lord and Savior fully, accurately, and intimately.
To Love Christ - We love Christ because He first loved us with an infinite, eternal, unconditional love. Our love for Him, just like His love for us, is to be an active love. So to demonstrate our love for Him we intentionally strive to love His brethren actively. If He loved them enough to die for them, how can we love them any less? Our love for God's people is deliberate, esteeming them better than ourselves and looking out for their interests with our resources and spiritual gifts.
To Display Christ - We know Jesus Christ as the living display of God's grace and mercy to the helpless and hopeless. Since Christ lives in us, we too should be salt and light in this dark world. Therefore, we strive to display Christ by extending Biblical compassion to the community and world around us. We meet material/physical/temporary needs in our community wherever possible, but always with the intent and goal of pointing them to the One who can meet their spiritual need forever.
